Massive Chart Updates!
It seems like it's been forever but all the charts for the week ending 2.15.08 are now up. Also, the JA charts for 2.08.08 did exist after all and are now in the archives.
First up we have the JA dancehall charts with a new #1 "Pon Di Edge" by Busy Signal, pushing "Click Mi Finger" by Erup to #2. Steadily gaining the charts are "Don't Run In" by Harry Toddler and "Shoot Out" by Mykal Rose (which both also happen to have new videos that you can view from the link). Kinda new to the chart is "Journeys" by Bugle which is already at the #15 spot after only starting it's 2nd week on the charts.
On the reggae charts we have Queen Ifrica reclaiming the #1 spot, this time with "Mi Nah Rub", knocking "St. Jago de la Vega" by Lutan Fyah to #2 after a two week run at #1. Courtney John is doing well with two songs on the charts: "Sometimes" rising to #3 and the new entry "Baby Tonight".
The Hype TV charts have last week's top three (Queen Ifrica, Erup and Sean Paul) holding firm and Harry Toddler entering the charts at #20 with "Don't Run In".
And finally, the UK charts have Erup claiming the top spot with "Click Mi Finger" and two new entries: "Unknown Number" by Busy Signal and "Tek Weh Yuh Self" by Mr. Vegas.
Overall an exciting week for dancehall/reggae music.

JA Charts will be back 2.15.08
Due to Jamaica's annual EME Awards held by Richie B (who also does the weekly JA charts), there will be no charts for 2.08.08. Look for the JA dancehall and reggae charts to return on 2.15.08 and in the meantime check out the Hype TV and UK charts.
